Our Story
Humble beginnings became a mission!
Our journey began as a passion project, over 20 years ago, simply because we care. We have since evolved into a not-for-profit mission with a heart, striving to end animal abuse, improve natural habitats and support healing for both animals and people, together.
Riverside Farm Animal Rescue
We are a not-for-profit mission with big ambitions. We rescue, rehabilitate and find forever homes for livestock, domestic and other animals that are sick and injured, or have been abandoned, harmed and abused.

Growing up I took inspiration from my family’s love of animals and commitment to make meaningful change in our local community. We often took in abandoned pets, cared for injured wildlife, and gave animals hope for happiness.

This inspiration took me into the social care sector, where I focused those passions on empowering people to find safety and happiness in their lives, with a willingness to disrupt so we could reimagine a world where harm and abuse ceases to exist.
Along the way, I continued in my family’s footsteps, delivering and self-funding a range of animal welfare projects. The synergy between holding people through their healing journey and helping animals in their healing was harmonious.

Many of the people I supported found strength from therapeutic connection with animals, and my work with people, who caused harm, to change their behaviours improved their family’s safety and their pets too!

Fast forward to 2024 and we are now incorporated, with a small but dedicated team, taking our passion and turning it into a shared mission. Our humble beginnings will continue to grow steadily - we hope to find support to increase our impact, and to improve more lives, both animal and human.
Livestock, Domestic
and Other Animals
We are able to provide care to a wide range of animals; dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, mules, deer, cows, pigs, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas, geese, ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea-pigs, fish and more. We also care for wildlife.
